STAND WITH THE BURMESE PROTESTORS
LATEST NEWS - 28 Sept 2007Like the rest of the world, I am outraged at the atrocities taking place in Burma and to this end am compiling a list of companies with a UK base or association who we should boycott to try and stop providing them providing the Burmese Regime with funding which allow them to continue in power. Take the time to contact these companies yourself and tell them how outraged you are.
Copy and paste the following text into an email, change the name it is addressed to, add your own signature and send to all the companies listed below. Where this is no email address listed please visit their website and fill in the contact forms and paste the text into the message box:
Dear
Like the rest of the world, I am outraged at the atrocities which are currently taking place in Burma. The fact that your company actively supports & finances the Burmese regime is something to be ashamed of. Therefore, I am asking you in the name of humanity and democracy, to join with the rest of the world and desist from your unethical trading with the Burmese regime until such time as a satisfactory situation has been reached.
Please take notice of the following points:
Your company interests in Burma are helping to fund a situation which goes against Human Rights and you should think very carefully about what misery you are causing to thousands of people just to earn a profit for yourself. Stop trading with Burma and be removed from the “dirty list” of companies which is currently circulating the Internet. Is money more important to you than the lives of so many suffering at the hands of this regime?
Hoping this email has not fallen on deaf ears.
Yours sincerely,
Sign the global petition to the Chinese President Hu Jintao & the UN Security Council:

Swift is a financial services co-operative company owned and controlled by many of the world’s largest banks, including Citibank, HSBC and ABN Amro. Swift hosts an electronic network that banks use to make transfers to each other. Following the imposition of financial sanctions by the United States government in August 2003 the regime faced a crisis, unable to use dollars in financial transactions. Swift came to their aid, making four Burmese banks part of its network. The regime is now able to avoid US financial sanctions by making financial transfers in Euros using Swift’s network.
